The Surrogacy Podcast Episode 3: Troy. In this episode, I interviewed my partner, Troy, about his experience being a surrogate’s partner. I was often asked what Troy thought of surrogacy, and of me being a surrogate, so I thought it would be good to hear from Troy himself.
I am a surrogate and a surrogacy lawyer living in Melbourne with my partner and our two children. I’ve been an egg donor, and in 2015 I decided to become a surrogate. In January 2018 I gave birth to a baby girl, Darcey, for her two dads Mike and Nate (episode 2). You can also read more about me.
As a surrogate’s partner, Troy was along for the surrogacy ride as much as being my support and my cheer squad. The partners are vital for a good surrogacy relationship and are as important as every other member of the team.
I have written a book, More Than Just a Baby: A Guide to Surrogacy for Intended Parents and Surrogates, which is the only guide to surrogacy in Australia, and which you can purchase in hard copy or download to your device.
