The Surrogacy Podcast Episode 2: Mike & Nate. In this episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing my intended parents and gay dads in Melbourne, Mike and Nate, about their surrogacy journey and becoming dads to baby Darcey.
Mike and Nate started talking about having children on their second date, and they considered a few different options before committing to surrogacy in Melbourne. It was another 5 years before they welcomed Darcey, and you’ll hear about what they went through to become dads.
I might be a bit biased, but I think they’re pretty special and it was lovely chatting with them and reflecting on our journey together.
Don’t forget to listen to Episode 1 with me, find out more about traditional surrogacy and you can read my reflections on the first year after Darcey’s birth.
Traditional surrogacy is legal in almost all parts of Australia. If you are interested in finding out more, you can also listen to my interview with Katrina Hale about traditional surrogacy.
