The Australian Surrogacy Podcast Episode 52: Sam. Sam is a surrogate in Queensland and mother of 5, who found her Victorian intended parents through an article posted online about the couples’ struggles with infertility. Sam, huge-hearted and generous, reached out to the couple and they developed a friendship. Their journey was considerably challenging, with extra bureaucracy and delays, and dealing with the Patient Review Panel process in Victoria. Sam was patient and determined, and all paid off with the surrogate birth of Noah in Queensland earlier this year. Sam is now 10 weeks’ post-partum and enjoying the surrogacy high in the fourth trimester.
You can find out more about the surrogacy laws in your state, and the process for surrogacy in Victoria, where Sam’s intended parents live.
