Thinking about surrogacy Canada to grow your family? The Surrogacy Podcast Episode 11:Hillary. Hillary is a cancer survivor, having suffered with cancer as a single mother, and when she met her prince charming years later, they decided to grow their family through surrogacy in Canada, with the help of her cousin as her egg donor.
I am always inspired and humbled when I hear stories from women who have often gone through infertility, loss or survived cancer before turning to surrogacy. Hillary went through so much, and her tenacity and strength is amazing.
We talked about induced lactation (Hillary is amazing!) and you can read more about milk and feeding a surrogacy baby. Another intended parent who induced lactation was Phillipa, who also spoke to me for the Podcast.
If you are new to surrogacy in Australia, you can start with this post which takes you through the steps depending where you are up to.
If you are travelling during COVID, you may need to think about travel restrictions that impact on your surrogacy arrangement.
You can read more about overseas surrogacy options for Australian intended parents, and you can hear other stories involving surrogacy in Canada on the Podcast, including surrogate Sara and intended parents Costa and Rob.
Sarah has published a book, More Than Just a Baby: A Guide to Surrogacy for Intended Parents and Surrogates, the only guide to surrogacy in Australia.
