Are you a surrogate, intended parent, or healthcare professional involved in surrogacy care? We want to hear from you! 🗣️

We’re conducting a research study to understand how intended parent involvement impacts surrogacy birth care, from antenatal care to delivery and postnatal care. This is an exciting opportunity to share your experiences and contribute to developing better guidelines and practices for surrogacy care in Australia. 🏥👶

Who Can Participate?

SURROGATES:

👉 Age: 18 years and older.

👶Have carried a pregnancy for Australian intended parents.

🤰 Must have been involved in an Australian surrogacy arrangement within the past five years OR currently pregnant between 20-37 weeks gestation.

INTENDED PARENTS:

👉 Age: 18 years and older.

Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

👨‍👩‍👧👨‍👨‍👧‍👦 Must have been involved in an Australian surrogacy arrangement within the past five years OR currently involved in an Australian surrogacy and have a surrogate who is 20-37-weeks pregnant.

❓What’s Involved?

Participants may be invited to:

Share some details from the medical records related to participants’ surrogacy experience. Rest assured, all information will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality and used only for research purposes to help improve surrogacy care practices.

Complete a survey about their experiences đź“‹

Participate in a 1-on-1 interview or focus group discussion đź’¬

Privacy and confidentiality:

All data will be securely stored and anonymised. Participants can withdraw at any time without any consequences.
