Egg Donor Agreement

Are you considering growing your family with the help of an egg donor and thinking of having an agreement between you? Many families grow with the help of an egg donor, whether it’s a clinic-recruited or overseas donor, a friend or family member, or someone they’ve met with the purpose of them being their donor.

If you are sharing your eggs with your female partner, that’s a bit different and doesn’t require the same considerations as an egg donor arrangement.

Regardless of how you might create your family, you should consider the complexities of donor conception, and the perspectives of donor-conceived people. You can read more about donor conception, and listen to Podcast interviews with Kate Bourne from VARTA and Gail from Donor Conception and Beyond.

The clinic will provide you and your donor (if they are known to you) with appropriate counselling to talk about you expectations and intentions in your arrangement.

Some families choose to have written Donor Agreements before entering into the arrangement. Sarah provides a legal advice package for donor arrangements, including:

  •  A Zoom consult
  • A Donor Agreement, and
  • A final Review and advice before the parties sign the Agreement.

Sarah can also review overseas Donor Agreements on request. You can contact Sarah below.
